Sanswire Corp. develops and provides an integrated suite of aerospace communications products and services, leveraging its relationships with leaders in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) technologies. Sanswire Corp. is focused on the design and construction of various aerial vehicles, capable of carrying payloads that provide persistent surveillance and security solutions at various altitudes.

Sanswire's long term objective is to provide commercial and government customers advanced seamless wireless broadband capabilities and surveillance sensor suites utilizing a state of the art High Altitude Airship technology. Our goal is to deploy a minimum of 1600 commercial airships over the next 20 years. Building upon this high altitude technology, Sanswire's near term goal is to penetrate the military/government use market for low to mid altitude unmanned airships.

In Q3 2008 Sanswire Corp organized a Joint venture Sanswire-TAO Corp to own all the intellectual property (IP) associated with the manufacturing of various Unmanned Aerial Platforms.
Our joint venture partner and inventor of the IP is TAO Technologies from Stuttgart, Germany, who has spent more than 20 years in airship development, design and production. TAO is closely aligned with aerospace tech powerhouse University of Stuttgart (Europe’s answer to MIT and Stanford) and between the partners more than $50 million has been spent by the programs.
Sanswire-TAO is currently the legal owner of all the IP including the segmented cell design for exclusive use in North America.
The US government will be spending more than $17 billion in the next 4 years on various types of unmanned aerial vehicles including airships which Sanswire builds, this is the one defense area where we know President Obama has already said he’s committed to and we believe there’s no guesswork about the future of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.
Private industry is looking to the high altitude (65,000 ft) Sanswire airships to deliver telecom, broadcasting and emergency response services to vast regions because it costs significantly less than satellites and terrestrial lines.
We shed unprofitable businesses, eliminated unnecessary spending, pared down our headcount to only the most crucial and focused on bringing only the most beneficial relationships and resources into our Company. Today’s Sanswire is leaner and more disciplined, with a more precise definition of its core competency.
Cost and benefit drive all our business decisions. Conventional terrestrial systems are too costly to attempt ubiquitous services to a developing country, hence, services continue to be limited to the areas of existing service.
Sanswire Stratellites deliver telecom, broadcasting and emergency response services to the entire footprint of a region, and has the added bonus of being the lowest cost solution for such services, compared to satellites and terrestrial lines.
Sanswire Stratellites eliminate issues associated with tower placement, dead zones, the environment or bureaucratic impediments. Signal strength is superior to ground based systems. Better line of sight and fewer obstacles improve signal quality to the end user device.
Sanswire Stratellites can offer more advanced services. Incumbent telephone and cable companies are struggling to extend the life of their landline infrastructure with digital subscriber lines and cable modem services. Eventually they will reach their capacity. The future of landlines is uncertain as more and more people substitute mobile and wireless services for ones once exclusive to landlines.
Much of Sanswire's Stratellite™ High Altitude Airship development is directly applicable to the Low and Mid Altitude Airships. Sanswire therefore has access to two lucrative markets with one development budget.
